OUTBOARD ENGINE YAMAHA 4 STROKE 115 HP VMAX SHO

GREAT! A V MAX SHO SMALL BOATS!

In the wake of the successful entry of the VMAX SHO to the family, Yamaha presents the new version of 115 HP, for small boats and other crafts. The VMAX SHO 115 well represents the VMAX SHO down to the last bolt. It is compact, lightweight, and as good as a 2-stroke, but as practical and silent as a 4-stroke. What more could you ask for?

The VMAX SHO 115 4-stroke weighs only 171 kg (a rival to the 2-stroke at 177 kg), thanks in part to the absence of the 2-cycle oil and the oil tank. It’s being said that the VMAX SHO 115 is the lightest 115 HP 4-stroke outboard featuring Yamaha’s advanced 16-valve double-overhead cam (DOHC) that is on the water. It has a housing cover made of a lightweight composite, a single-ram power trim and tilt mechanism and a lightweight mounting bracket.

The VMAX SHO 115 utilizes an advanced Yamaha engine with 4 cylinders, 16 valves (a 115 rival has only 8) and two overhead camshaft heads. The fuel flow is fluid and the performance is astounding. These 16 large valves deploy incredible power and a stunning torque at midrange. They are fed by a large (60mm) single throttle body with Yamaha's long-track intake system and a free-flow exhaust. At full throttle, the engine runs at 6300 RPM, which means that Yamaha fits well the gear ratio for low speed flare, and delivers amazing speed. A knock sensor, something rare in this category, allows the engine to operate consistently at peak power. The result is a superb top speed of 5.87 km / h (3.65 mi / h) over that of the Yamaha F115.

The Yamaha VMAX SHO is fast, robust, more evolved and lighter than its rivals. It dominates even the two-stroke in its class for side planing, displacement, weight and fuel economy.

Choose the engine that will offer you maximum enjoyment on the water, whether you are an amateur, on a casual outing or you love the thrill of water sports.

Each of the engines we offer is equipped with Yamaha’s latest technology for marine engines, architecture and the intake and exhaust systems. In addition, our four-stroke engines are successful because, instead of adapting car engines to the marine environment, we have designed and developed these marine four-stroke engines from scratch.

To better preserve the marine environment, Yamaha uses novel technologies for clean combustion that do not alter the qualities, power or performance of their motors.

/// LIGHT WEIGHT
The four-stroke V MAX SHO 115 weighs 377 pounds, and it has the added benefit of not needing two-stroke oil or an oil tank (or the added weight). A competitor's two-stroke weighs 390 pounds. The V MAX SHO 115 is the lightest four-stroke DOHC 115-horsepower outboard on the water. It uses a lightweight composite lower pan and cowling, a single-ram power trim and tilt mechanism and a lightweight mounting bracket.

/// SMOOTH & QUIET
Remember, this is a four stroke, so it's quiet by nature. On top of that, Yamaha has harmonized all the inertial mass components and added large rubber engine mounts. The result is smoothness and quiet that will impress.

/// YAMAHA RELIABILITY
The V MAX SHO 115 powerhead design is based on proven Yamaha four-stroke technology. It also uses Yamaha's Phaze Five? paint system, which includes the electro-deposition of anti-corrosive paint on both the inside and outside passages of the engine block. Inside the engine, dimpled cylinder sleeves, like those used on the Yamaha F350, reduce weight and add strength. They also aid in heat transfer and help to keep the engine reliably cooler.

///VERSATILE
The F115 is just right for so many kinds of boats: pontoons, bay boats, fish'n'skis, sport boats, deep V aluminum boats, RIB inflatables and more. Its lightweight, high-strength mounting bracket uses the same mounting holes as most other models of outboards. Available in three models, it can be equipped for either remote control or use with a tiller handle. Like its big brother, the F150, the F115 comes in both left and right-hand rotation for use in twin applications.

/// BETTER CHARGING
The new alternator delivers more power than before: 35 amps at wide open throttle (compared to 24 for the previous F115) producing a full 28 amps at only 1,000 rpm.

/// QUIET
Designed for improved smoothness and quiet operation, the F115 has an all-new exhaust system and reduced vibration thanks to a harmonized inertial mass flywheel and large-capacity rubber engine mounts. Yamaha also has a new line of SDSTM propellers specifically for this outboard. Bringing the smooth and quiet operation of Yamaha's exclusive Shift Dampener System, these new props deliver quiet operation and meet the performance needs of Yamaha's new F115B perfectly - both when shifting and when in gear. Named TalonTM, these new props range from 9- to 16-inch pitches and are ideal for a variety of applications. Of course, Yamaha's Endless Propeller Solutions means a host of conventional aluminum and stainless steel propellers are also available.

/// CONVENIENCE
Even with its improved power, the new F115 still runs on regular 87-octane gasoline. It also has popular features such as Yamaha's Variable Trolling RPM Switch (VTS®). Models have mechanical control, and are compatible with Yamaha's Command Link® gauges and hardware. F115B models can be rigged to external NMEA-2000® compatible displays using a gateway device or analog gauges. In addition, this new outboard is Y-COP® compatible.

///MULTI-FUNCTION TILLER HANDLE
Available on F30 through F60, and optional on F75 through F115, the multi-function tiller handle gives you fingertip control of starting, shifting, steering and throttle.
